Fifty Years of Research

Research by Randy Jirtle over the past fifty years, ranging from studying tumor vascularization and blood flow, to liver carcinogenesis, to genomic imprinting, to environmental epigenomics, and finally to defining the human imprintome (Skaar et al, 2012) is portrayed in this painting by San Antonio artist Bonnie Cabeza (SweetAsAPeachStudio). During this time I was on the faculty at Duke University, North Carolina State University, University of Wisconsin, and The University of Adelaide.
